Non-compliance for individuals and businesses can be <a href=\"https:\/\/gdpr.eu\/article-83-conditions-for-imposing-administrative-fines\/\">very costly<\/a>. Healthcare providers and patients are both busy, which makes asynchronous communications that can be answered at any time a major convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obtaining Consent<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Good news &#8211; the GDPR allows for electronic communications via email and text to individuals, however it does require consent before the messages are sent.
